Will the London conference help Somalia?
People recalled that there have been some 20 international conferences on Somalia since the collapse of central authority in 1991, and that they have achieved very little. Not another big, expensive talking shop, many Somali-watchers thought.
But since then, there are a couple of signs that this one might
be different.
So everyone
is free to image his view about critical and ongoing problem of Somalia and the
outcome of this conference??????????????????????

Some comments from London based Somalians - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-17120117
ReplyDeleteThere were so many conferences hold for Somalia but ended fruitless; anyway, when we see the outcome of the london conference, this will come true if the international community become honest about their interest of somalia. To restore peace and order is to survive somalia's youths not to jion Alshabaab and Alqa'ida in somalia, to stop the endless war of somalia functions and killing inocent civilians.
ReplyDeleteAs somaliland it is good chance to display to the international community the progress they reached while the rest of somalia remain choas also somaliland searching recognition from the rest of the world and that is why somaliland participated the conference in london.
I see this is success and step forward for somaliland community.
